An attractive Tobacco Pouch called tabako-ire complete with the original Manju style netsuke, called kagamitbuta attached to the originlal chain suspension with an ojime like slide also depicting a dragon.
The Leather pouch flap has a matching, gold gilt, bas relief dragon The leather pouch is decorated with an embossed dragon surrounded by clouds. This set is called Hitotsuage.
These pouches were prized and in constant use, so this example does show modest wear from use and age, as shown on the inside of the flap.
