A large 1970's dough bowl by Rafaelita Aguilar. Born in 1936 and learning pottery from her mother, Aguilar has become known for her ability to craft large pots. She is said to harvests the clay on the Pueblo and build her pots using the coil technique. She fire the pots outdoprs in the traditional manner and then using natural pigments burnishes the pot black. Finished with diamond geometric design at the shoulder.

In good condition showing wear on the base and modest wear in the interior.
