A very scarce, late Meiji to early Taisho Tea Ceremony Traveling basket. Used to transport Tea Ceremony utensils.

A beautifully woven 12" x 17" basket bottom with a textile top composed of two different textiles with a silk cord closure. Shows expected wear from use and age.
