An original Qing Dynasty Black Silk Hat with the original metal hat storage box. Sometimes refered to as an Officers Hat or Officials Hat. The red interior is slightly faded but well marked by the previous Chinese Owner. The hat is crowned with a large red silk knot, possibly indicating ststion or rank.
The metal hat box is lacquer printed with a traditional design. The hinge and latch are original and in good condition. The box retains the original ring on the top
The hat is approximately 7" in diameter, the boc is 7.25 in diameter and 7.50 in height
