In the Colonial India Period, this wedding coat was worn by a woman of the Lohana merchant cast of Thalo Bula Khan, Sind in what is modern day Pakistan. The influence of the neighboring Kush in Gujarat is apparent in the use of mirrors and style of the body embroidery. The garment shows wear from age and use, with slight fading. Good overall condition with no damage. The body measures 22"x36".
