A standing male figure from the Lungu People who live on the southwestern shores of Lake Tanginyika. Sometimes called Rungu, little has been reported regarding thier rituals and ceremonies. Figures of this type are infrequently encountered.
Finely carved with nicely detailed face and body scarification. Standing with eyes closed, knees slightly bent and hands resting on thighs. Wearing a pottery girdle at the waist. Nice patina. 14inches in height
